Another new Beta build is now live, 1.5.1.13 which resolves a fairly widespread Framerate/CPU usage problem.
The full beta installation has now been updated to 1.5.1.13 for those of you who are many many updates behind.
Soldat Beta 1.5.1 (19.8 MiB)
I have also merged the initial 1.5.1 change log with all the subsequent patch changes, click Continue Reading for the full 1.5.1 change log.
Alright, I think the ScriptCore changes are finalized now so its time for an update post.
Consider this the “Function/Event Parameter Changes” warning.
EDIT: Updated 30/10/2009 – Forgot to add an extremely awesome new feature to the list. DrawAdvText!
Today I am going to post the full ScriptCore v3 Changelog (Soldat 1.5.1) only, and discuss as much as I can about each change.
It is pretty much ready now. The only things on the todo list is to create the full/patch Installers, pack the EXE, and record a new intro demo. I asked the beta testing team to thoroughly test my latest binary with all fixes in it, and two weeks later nobody has mentioned anything about it so at this point I must assume it is ready to roll. If it isn’t, it might be time to clean up the private beta team eh? Hurr hurr.
Eh, sorry, but this isn’t an April Fools joke. Disappointing, yeah.
A lot of people are wondering whats going on with Soldat 1.5.0, which was announced to be in development 11 months ago…
The current plan is to have a official full release available before April. I personally wanted to have it out before the end of February, but it was later determined one more public beta version is required. Main reasons are to get people to translate the new language file, to get some online playtesting, and catch any remaining major bugs…
