Just a quick little update on the current development of Soldat 1.5.0d.

As was expected, still at least one major bug in Soldat 1.5.0d. The Weapon/Flag Drop Bug… Its like a thorn in my ass that won’t go away. Soldat 1.5.0d will not be released until this one is fixed. If you have any information regarding this bug, feel free to add it to the Bug Tracker (Ticked ID #260). Demos of it occurring are no longer required, got plenty.

Soon I will probably make a post regarding my plans for Soldat 1.5.1 and the future of the Script Core, so feel free to Subscribe to receieve notification when I post anything. This entry isn’t done, so click to read more.

Currently most of the bugs fixed in the Soldat 1.5.0d Release Candidate are just minor things such as broken strings etc. Oh, and the invisible player bug… That was pretty major, but fixed it (Thanks to SpiltCoffee for the help).

In other news, my server rentals are starting to look abit grim… By grim I mean lacking enough customers to support the monthly cost of the server itself. Both EU and US. So if you have ever considered owning your own dedicated Soldat Server and have some $/€ to spare, now is a great time to rent a server. All rental money goes straight towards the monthly cost of the machine running your Soldat Server, any profits over that cost are kept on the PayPal account to pay for the next month. I will never withdrawn funds for non-Soldat related things. I am always happy to negotiate deals with people interested in multiple servers, or swapping over from another host. As I mentioned earlier, I will probably make a post about Soldat 1.5.1 (how I plan on approaching it compared to 1.5.0), and the future of the server Script Core (If I plan on recoding it, adding a major new feature, and how I view its impact on Soldat). So stay tuned for those things, I recommend you subscribe to the RSS feed so you don’t have to keep visiting the main page constantly to see if theres new content.
