Welcome to the new [eC] Main Website.
Why?
The old website was getting on my nerves, it was full of bugs, old content, invalid links, and worst of all: had the same template since 2005. It’s time for a change really. Yes, the new site is using WordPress. I have been using it for personal blogs for afew months, and thought it would be a suitable frontend for enesce.com due to its versatility. I have always preferred coding my own CMS frontends for all my websites, but this time I don’t have the time. It would just be redundant anyway.
What will be found on this new site?
I haven’t fully figured out everything that I will be using this site for now, it will of course still be heavily about Soldat and my Game Server rentals, but it may contain other things regarding me personally. I also plan on using this as a “behind-the-scenes” for further Soldat Client/Server development, and people registered to this new site will have access to any Client/Server betas I decide to put out. There is a Download system in the new site aswell. I will also be posting various things regarding my public servers.
What about the old site?
The forum? Gone. I won’t be reopening a new forum, the Official Soldat Forums is my home. If you wish to discuss my public servers, do it over there. The Shoutbox? Also gone… For the moment. Once I see there is a decent amount of people Registered to this new site, I will go searching for a Plugin to enable a Shoutbox. You can always join me in #soldat.central on Quakenet.
The Theme……?
I couldn’t find anything better at the moment, please vote in the poll on the right side of the page. I would also greatly appreciate it if you leave a comment with your opinions!
I know it looks abit plain and boring right now, but I will be adding more content over the next month or so.
So, if you visit this site regularly or have any interest in any of the things I plan on publishing to the site, please register an account! It would also be great if you tell your friends etc etc, you know the drill. The more visits I get, the more exclusive stuff I will post. Its win-win for everybody! :-D. Looks good, alot better than your old site. More organized and spacious. Theme is great and the colours look fine.
Theme is a bit generic, and the server info thingy was nice. But the site isn’t… broken, and that’s a plus.
That’s why I like it, its not so complicated. Gives me room to customize.
And the server info thingy is still possible for me to add, but for now I added a server info page at the top.
Looks neat.
Too bad that all the fancy sites are not made for wide-screen monitors…
It is interesting. I have to say that the old site was, well, getting pretty old; so the change is a good idea. I personally don’t completely enjoy the blog-style, but I never have. Good luck with the site, I’m looking forward to content to come.
